Tata Power's renewable energy division, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions, and Tata Motors have agreed to work together on setting up 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles. These stations will be located in major cities.

This new plan is part of their continued effort to offer eco-friendly transportation options. It aims to make it easier for small electric commercial vehicles to charge up, strengthening their partnership in promoting sustainable travel.

Under the agreement, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions will build 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.

Tata Motors and Tata Power will offer special charging rates for owners of Tata Motors' electric commercial vehicles. This will help reduce their operating costs and increase their profits.

Electric commercial vehicle users nationwide will soon benefit from nearly 1,000 fast chargers, thanks to the planned expansion of the charging network.

Vinay Pathak, Vice President & Business Head, SCV&PU, Tata Motors, said in the statement, "This partnership will also explore avenues to maximise the use of renewable energy to make electric vehicle operations greener."

Deepesh Nanda, CEO & MD, Tata Power Renewable Energy, said in the statement, "This collaboration underlines our commitment to accelerating e-mobility by providing an expansive and reliable EV charging network across India."

Tata Power has grown its EZ Charge network to include over 100,000 home chargers, more than 5,500 public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, and over 1,100 bus charging stations across 530 cities and towns.

These chargers are placed in convenient and accessible spots, including highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, and residential complexes.
