In March 2025, India’s largest car maker, Maruti, sold 192984 units. Last year, in March 2024, the company sold 187196 units, lower than this month. Hyundai Car Sales in March 2025
This table presents Maruti Suzuki's vehicle sales data for March 2025, March 2024, and the fiscal years 2024-25 and 2023-24 across different categories.
In the A: Mini segment (Alto, S-Presso), sales declined slightly in March 2025 compared to March 2024, with a larger drop in fiscal year sales. Similarly, the A: Compact segment (Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR) saw a decline in both monthly and yearly figures. The combined Mini + Compact segment dropped from 970,109 units in FY 2023-24 to 896,507 units in FY 2024-25.
The A: Mid-Size segment (Ciaz) showed a small increase in March 2025 but declined in yearly sales. Overall, Passenger Cars sales dropped year-on-year.
In contrast, Utility Vehicles (SUVs & MPVs) (Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, XL6) grew in both March 2025 and FY 2024-25, showing strong demand for SUVs and MPVs. Vans (Eeco) had a slight decline.
Mahindra Car Sales in March 2025
Total Domestic Passenger Vehicle (PV) sales remained stable, at around 1.76 million units for both years. Light Commercial Vehicles (Super Carry) saw a small drop in March but had slight growth over the fiscal year.
Maruti Suzuki’s OEM sales to other manufacturers grew significantly in FY 2024-25. Meanwhile, total exports increased from 283,067 units in FY 2023-24 to 332,585 units in FY 2024-25, indicating strong global demand.
Overall, Maruti Suzuki closed FY 2024-25 with total sales of 2.23 million units, showing steady performance despite challenges in the Mini and Compact car segments.
