The Mahindra XUV700 has reached this production milestone in under three years since its launch. It now offers a total of nine colour options, some featuring a dual-tone black roof. The SUV is powered by a choice of engines: a 2-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel, each paired with corresponding transmission options. Available in 5-, 6-, and 7-seater configurations depending on the variant, its price ranges from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Mahindra XUV700 has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing the production mark of 2 lakh units in just 33 months since its launch. Although there isn't a limited edition variant to commemorate this achievement, Mahindra has introduced two fresh colour choices for its highly popular mid-size SUV. Here are all the details:

Mahindra, the Indian automaker, has unveiled two additional colour options for the XUV700: Deep Forest Green and the exclusive Burnt Sienna Brown. Meanwhile, the military-inspired green hue is also available on other Mahindra models such as the Thar, Scorpio N, and XUV 3XO.

Features and Safety

The XUV700 includes features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way electrically-adjustable driver's seat, a 12-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and built-in Alexa connectivity with advanced connected car technology.

In terms of safety features, the vehicle offers up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera. The top-end variant also includes advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control, enhancing both safety and driver convenience significantly.

The lower variants of the XUV700 are equipped with a lower-tuned diesel engine and lack the convenience of an automatic transmission. Additionally, the option for all-wheel drive (AWD) is restricted to the diesel-automatic powertrain configuration only.

The Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with vehicles such as the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari. In its 5-seater configuration, it competes directly with SUVs like the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, and Hyundai Creta.

Mahindra is anticipated to introduce the all-electric XUV700, potentially named the XUV e8, by the end of 2024.
