Car Sales December 2024

Scorpio N & Classic - The Scorpio N & Classic models experienced a modest increase in sales, with a 7% rise in December 2024 compared to December 2023. The total sales grew from 11,355 units in December 2023 to 12,195 units in December 2024. This suggests steady demand for the Scorpio N & Classic, likely driven by its reputation and strong performance in the SUV segment.

Bolero & Bolero Neo - The Bolero & Bolero Neo models saw a significant decline in sales, dropping by 26%. Sales decreased from 7,995 units in December 2023 to 5,921 units in December 2024. This decline could be attributed to changing consumer preferences, increased competition in the compact SUV segment, or the increasing popularity of newer models from Mahindra.

XUV700 - The XUV700 experienced a 25% decline in sales in December 2024. From 5,881 units in December 2023, it dropped to 3,773 units in December 2024. This could be due to factors like supply chain issues, pricing strategies, or increasing competition from other high-end SUVs in the market. Despite being a popular model, the drop in sales indicates a possible shift in demand.

Thar & Thar Roxx - The Thar & Thar Roxx saw an impressive 32% increase in sales in December 2024, with sales jumping from 5,793 units to 7,659 units. This surge in demand reflects the growing popularity of the Thar, especially among adventure and off-road enthusiasts. The Thar's distinctive design and performance in rugged terrains make it a strong contender in the SUV market.

XUV3XO - The XUV300 saw a dramatic increase in sales, with a remarkable 97% rise from 3,550 units in December 2023 to 7,000 units in December 2024. This significant growth could be driven by the growing popularity of compact SUVs in India, competitive pricing, or new features that make it more attractive to consumers.

XUV400 EV - The XUV400 EV experienced a phenomenal 142% increase in sales, growing from 535 units in December 2023 to 1,296 units in December 2024. This surge highlights the growing acceptance of electric vehicles (EVs) in India, with consumers showing increased interest in Mahindra's EV offerings. The XUV400’s strong growth is likely driven by a greater awareness of environmental sustainability and government incentives for electric vehicles.

Marazzo - The Marazzo saw a dramatic 74% drop in sales, from 62 units in December 2023 to just 16 units in December 2024. This sharp decline suggests that the Marazzo, a MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), is facing diminishing demand, possibly due to strong competition from other MPVs and SUVs, as well as changes in consumer preferences towards more popular segments like compact SUVs.

Maruti Suzuki Sales December 2024

Despite some individual declines, Mahindra’s total car sales increased by 17.6% in December 2024 compared to the previous year. The growth was largely driven by models like the XUV300, XUV400 EV, Thar, and Scorpio N & Classic, while models such as the Marazzo and Bolero experienced significant drops. This suggests that Mahindra's newer models, particularly in the electric and compact SUV segments, are gaining traction in the market.
