Maruti Suzuki Sales December 2024
In December 2024, JSW MG Motor India recorded a remarkable 55% year-on-year sales growth, selling 7,516 units. A significant contributor to this surge was the successful launch of the Windsor EV, with the company having sold a total of 10,000 units of the model to date. In December alone, 3,785 units of the Windsor were sold. Notably, MG Motor reported that 70% of its sales in December 2024 came from electric vehicles, highlighting the growing demand for its EV offerings.
Tata Motors recorded total passenger vehicle sales of 44,289 units in December 2024, reflecting a modest 1% increase compared to December 2023. However, this marked a 6% decline when compared to November 2024. A notable highlight was the 11% growth in sales of Tata Motors' all-electric passenger vehicle range, which reached 5,562 units, up from the previous year. Domestic sales in December 2024 totaled 44,230 units, showing a 2% year-on-year increase.
Mahindra & Mahindra reported total utility vehicle sales of 42,958 units in December 2024, including exports. Domestic sales of utility vehicles reached 41,424 units, reflecting an 18% increase compared to December 2023. Overall, the company’s cumulative sales, including commercial vehicles and three-wheelers, totaled 69,768 units, marking a 16% year-on-year growth. Exports saw a significant surge, rising by 70% to 3,092 units, up from 1,819 units in the same month last year.
Nissan India achieved cumulative sales of 11,676 units in December 2024, which included 9,558 units in export wholesales and 2,118 units in domestic sales. Export figures showed a strong increase of 72% compared to December 2023, while domestic sales saw a slight dip of nearly 1.5%. Additionally, Nissan reported that its Magnite facelift, launched in October 2024, has garnered over 10,000 bookings, highlighting strong consumer interest.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded a 29% year-on-year sales growth in December 2024, with a total of 29,529 units sold, including exports. This marked a nearly 12% increase over November 2024, when the company sold 26,323 units. Of the total sales, 4,642 units were exports, while domestic sales reached 24,887 units. In December, Toyota also launched the new Camry, priced at Rs 48 lakh, further enhancing its product lineup.
Hyundai reported a total of 55,078 units sold in December 2024, reflecting a 2.4% decline compared to the same month in 2023. Sales also fell by over 10% when compared to November 2024. The company’s domestic sales amounted to 42,208 units, down 1.3% year-on-year, while exports stood at 12,870 units, marking a 6.1% decrease from the previous year.
