Car Buying Process through CSD Canteen

Pre-Sanction Process -

The candidate will go to the nearest local dealership and select the model which you like the car. Ask the dealer if the car is available through CSD or not. The dealership should be registered with CSD Depot.
If the car is finalized then ask the dealer to issue a CSD price list with details of road tax, insurance cost, model name, sub-model, color, and delivery date.
The candidate should take an availability certificate that the car is delivered and without this certificate the CSD will not approve the application.
Download the application form and fill it with required documents and signed by the Commanding Officer.

Submit the Application Form for CSD -

The candidates do not forget to mention Pan card number and grocery number.
If the car was purchased through CSD, then mention the date of purchase.
Enter complete address, service number, date of enrolment and Ex-service men.
Application must be signed by commanding officer, Zila Sainik Board, Station HQ as applicable.

Post Sanction Process -

Once the application has been approved, keep the original sanction letter safely.
If we want a loan for a car then apply.
The purchase order is then issued after scrutiny of documents
Road Tax and Insurance premium payment has to be made separately by the applicant.
The sanction letter is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.
The minimum amount must be paid if the car is on waiting and the rest of the payment can be made to the CSD once the dealer confirms the availability of the vehicle.
