In 2024, the world-class car manufacturer, BMW India registered the highest sales. The brand sold 15,721 cars this year, which is a milestone for the company.   

According to the authorities, the company had a very good year in terms of sales, dispatching (MINI recorded dispatches of 709 units), and the all-time highest number of cars and motorcycles.

If talk about numbers company records its growth by 11% with a dispatch of 15,741 cars (BMW and MINI) and 8,301 motorcycles under the banner of BMW Motorrad in the period of January and December.

If the data divides then only BMW registered sales of 15,012 cars and on the other hand, MINI recorded dispatches of 709 units. The highest growth is recorded in the fourth quarter with sales of 4,958 units reflecting a growth of 15 per cent. Also, its luxury cars segment has unpredictable success, with sales of 4,958 units reflecting a growth of 15%.

BMW India Sales 2024If puts light on the brand’s electric mobility segment then the company claims to get the top position by selling 1,249 units of fully electric BMW and MINI cars. The company successfully sold 384 units of the i7 and became the top-selling BMW car in 2024. Currently, BMW has six fully electric models in its lineup: BMW i7, iX, i5, i4, iX1, MINI Countryman Electric.  

BMW M, the brand's high-performance division, had its most successful year to date, with 875 units sold across eight new launches. The BMW M340i emerged as the best-selling M model, surpassing 1,000 units in sales. Meanwhile, MINI saw growth as well, with the 3-Door Cooper S model achieving a record 250 units sold, reflecting a 77 per cent increase.

BMW's Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) remained a key driver of the brand's success, accounting for 56% of total sales with 8,351 units sold, a 16 per cent increase from the previous year. The BMW X1 led the SAV lineup, contributing over 20 per cent of total sales and dominating the premium compact SAV segment. Additionally, the BMW X5 reached its highest annual sales to date, with 2,056 units sold, reflecting an impressive 89 per cent growth.
