TVS Motor achieves December sales growth by 7% on-year by selling total 321,687 units. In addition 2-wheeler sales increased by 8% in December 2024.
The company saw an increase in total two-wheeler sales, reaching 312,002 units in December, compared to 290,064 units in the same month last year. Out of this, 215,075 units were sold in the domestic market, which is a small rise from 214,988 units sold last year.
Scooter sales grew strongly by 30%, reaching 133,919 units. However, motorcycle sales dropped to 144,811 units, down from 148,049 units in December 2023. At the same time, three-wheeler sales fell by 18% compared to last year, with a total of 9,685 units sold in December.
Electric vehicle (EV) sales grew to 20,171 units, showing a 79% increase from 11,288 units last year. The company, a leading maker of electric two-wheelers, had earlier stated that EVs will be its top priority as it looks to expand its range with more affordable electric two-wheelers.
The company exported 96,927 two-wheelers, which is a 29% increase compared to 75,076 units sold last year. Overall, TVS Motor's total exports grew by 22% year-on-year, reaching 104,393 units in December 2024.
In the quarter ending December 2025, the company saw strong growth of 11%, with sales reaching 11.8 lakh two-wheelers. Of this, 76,000 units were electric two-wheelers, up from 48,000 units in the third quarter of FY24. However, three-wheeler sales dropped to 29,000 units, compared to 38,000 units in the same quarter last year.
