Hero MotoCorp Sales December Records 7% growth in CY24

One of the largest 2-wheeler manufacturers records an increase in sales by 7.5% in the calendar year 2024. The company has achieved growth and sales increased 59 lakh units in 2024, from 54 lakh in the year-ago period.

Hero MotoCorp shipped a Total of 294,152 2-wheelers in the domestic market in the last month that is December, from 377,842 units last year, the same period. If talk about the positive aspects then the exports in the same period rose to 30,754 units, as against 16,110 units, previously. Unluckily, this accounted for the sales to drop to 324,906 units in December 2024 from 393,952 units in the same month, last year.

"Growth across multiple segments from our core offerings, 125cc motorcycle segment and the evolving electric mobility portfolio have reinforced Hero's position as the preferred brand for millions of customers across the country," Niranjan Gupta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hero MotoCorp Ltd, said.

As part of its push towards electrifying two-wheelers, the company sold around 46,662 units of VIDA V1 e-scooters in 2024, a significant increase from about 11,134 units sold in the same period last year. In early December, the company also expanded its VIDA V1 range by launching the VIDA V2.

As per Gupta, Hero is keen on further expanding its EV as well as ICE portfolio in 2025. "We believe an improvement in the broader customer sentiment may lead to even stronger demand recovery for us and the industry," he said.

In December, the company strengthened its partnership with the American brand Harley-Davidson to introduce new products. As part of this expanded collaboration, they will launch updated versions of the Harley-Davidson X440 and collaborate on creating a completely new motorcycle.
